Turnbull Winery

We probably should have asked where the name “Turnbull” came from, but we were too enamored with the tasting room to be bothered. If you love Ansel Adams, you will absolutely adore the gallery inside of Turnbull. It’s one of a kind (sorry, no photos ‘cause we don’t want to make any artists angry).

Under the shade of some Wisteria, we had a nice little noshing plate with pretty much all the glasses.

And, a beaut of a line-up!

We parted with a bottle of the Leopoldina- so complex. It started with this somehow ripened and dried-out tasting marionberry, but with great touch of acid. It transitioned to blood orange with a finish of a hint of chocolate and cola complemented by nice, lingering tannins.
